The first weeks with baasje and vrouwtje I gave them a lot of work. I made by big and small business everywhere. After a while I learned only to pee on the newspapers they had put down in a corner. But I wasn’t sure where I was supposed to do my big business, so I just left it somewhere. I never hid it, though – something my owners appreciated, even if they were not too thrilled about my stick bombs.
By now I’m home trained, as they say. I learned to let baasje and vrouwtje know, when I need to go. Then I start walking rounds in the living room. If that doesn’t get their attention, I start annoying them. And if it then still takes too long, I simply fart! Believe me, THAT is enough of a hint.
It took a while for me to be home trained, though. At first, baasje took the newspaper away. I was so confused!! I didn’t know where to go, so I just went somewhere. I didn’t mean to but what was I supposed to do?
But I soon learned to hold it, because I know one of my owners goes with me as soon as they are home. Now they are very proud of me for not making a mess anymore. I’m such a proud puppy!! :D
Sometimes baasje and vrouwtje ask me, if I need to pee. Then I jump up and down in excitement and bark “Yes”. But do they go with me immediately? NO! What do they do? They ask me again!! Gee, how often do I have to bark “yes”, run to the door and be ready to go outside? Seriously, sometimes I wonder if they actually understand me… But that’s ok, at least most times they also play with me outside so it’s worth waiting.
